We made a brief stop in Sydney, Australia and it rained pretty much all three days we had there. We stayed in the middle of the CBD near George Street. Sydney has a larger city feel, and almost everything you would want to do is accessible by either train, bus or ferry. We explored the main tourist areas as well as some off the beaten path places. I think our favorite find was a little brewery in Manly Beach called Four Pines. We spent a rainy afternoon trying out some craft beers and enjoying some sweet chili and sour cream wedges.
Tons of concrete and steel have been set in place over the past couple of years to replace the Paseo Bridge to safely guide motorists on I-35 across the Missouri River. This cable stayed bridge is just another part of the revitalization taking place in and around the downtown area of Kansas City, Missouri. Though the bridge is already carrying traffic across the river, construction crews continue to demolish the former Paseo Bridge. I am looking forward to being able to take some images when the job has been completed.
Sunset at Golden Gate Bridge
Taken from the Marin Headlands that overlooks the bay separating San Francisco from the rest of California. I used the Tobacco filter to get a more ominous feel to the picture, and the fog just adds to the mystery.
Twilight Over the Golden Gate Bridge
A 30 second exposure about 30-40 minutes after the sun had set over the San Francisco Bay. You can see stars an the flight path coming out of San Francisco International Airport.
